Let Me Introduce Myself...

My name is Keitra Crooks and I am a romance author/writer.  Ever since I was little, I have loved to write stories to express myself but never saw myself as an author.   So even though I have a full time job, my passion is writing at night.  


Besides me writing, I also have a twin sister, Trina, that writes books as well. Without her, I probably wouldn't have picked up my love for writing again.  We enjoy bouncing ideas off of each other and even collaborating on some of our works.  


I am looking forward to you getting to know me better and reading some of my books.

  It has been some time since I have written on my blog, but I wanted to challenge myself to start writing on here more moving into the new year.  However, since I just completed my last Calhoun Brother, I decided this would be the perfect post to start. I wanted to thank everyone who took the ride with me as I delved into the life of the Calhoun Brothers.  I don't know if many people know but surprisingly, one of my favorite movies growing up was "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers."  My cousin showed me the movie when I was in my early teens and I loved the musical so much that when it came time for me to think of my first series, it was kismet that I wanted to base it off of that movie. I was still in my beginning stages of writing and learning the craft, but I dived in to write Dear Anthony.  And with each story, I attempted to get better and develop them so that everyone could love the Calhoun Brothers like I had envisioned them.
